Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team. As a member of the Firm, professionalism and high ethical standard are expected for this position. The successful candidate should be results driven and always keep in mind Firm’s objectives.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining Accounting Books for our Firm and a portfolio of Clients including preparing and posting bank payments and receipts, sales and supplier invoices, petty cash transactions and accounting journals.
  • Maintaining cash book and other registers on excel and downloading or scanning supporting documentation.
  • Referencing supporting documentation and uploading onto our accounting system.
  • Carrying out bank reconciliations and accounts analyses.
  • Preparing bank transfers for execution by our Firm’s and Clients’ signatories.
  • Preparation of VAT and VIES returns.
  • Assisting in year-end closing and preparation of files for audit. Liaising with our Audit Department or Client auditors.
  • Liaising with Clients on missing information and dealing with Client enquiries.
  • Preparation of Payroll and Social Insurance returns.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or holder of LCCI Higher Level or studying for ACCA exams
  • 2-3 years’ experience as an Accountant is required
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks or Cycom software is an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek and English language
